While we’re sure you’ll love your rug, please note all made-to-order pieces are non-refundable. We’re happy to offer an exchange or store credit (return shipping to our Brisbane warehouse is at your cost). If your item arrives faulty, we’ll replace it free of charge. With sustainability at the heart of our process, we craft our rugs to-order to help reduce waste and textile overproduction. Our made-to-order rugs are sent directly from our supplier in India to your doorstep to reduce our carbon footprint.
Made-To-Order Information: Once you place your order, please allow approximately 10-14 days for your rug to be handcrafted. Your order will be sent directly from our supplier in India to your door, which can take up 7 business days depending on your location.
Shipping: We ship worldwide! Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight. International shipping can be expensive, so if you’d like a customised quote, or a quote for express domestic shipping, email us at hello@hunterandnomad.com.au.

Yes. Our rugs are designed for real family living. The hand-tufted cotton construction creates a soft surface underfoot while still being durable enough to handle everyday use in bedrooms, living areas and play spaces.
Yes. Our standard rug sizes (140 × 200cm, 160 × 230cm and 150cm round rug) can usually be washed in a household washing machine if the machine capacity allows.
For larger made-to-order rugs, the weight of the rug when wet can be significant. In these cases we recommend using a laundromat with larger machines, professional cleaning, or spot cleaning for everyday mess.

For everyday care, vacuum regularly (avoid strong brush settings). For spills, blot the area gently with a damp cloth and mild detergent. If a deeper clean is needed, the rug can be washed according to the care instructions.
Some light shedding can occur with natural cotton rugs when they are new. This is completely normal for hand-tufted rugs and will reduce over time with regular use and gentle vacuuming.
To help minimise shedding:
• Use a rug underlay to reduce movement and absorb impact
• Vacuum lightly once a week (avoid strong brush settings)
• A gentle cold wash and air dry can also help settle loose fibres
Rugs can develop folds during shipping. These will relax naturally after a short time. Using a rug underlay, placing furniture on the corners, or rolling the rug the opposite way can help speed this up.
