It wasn't too long ago since we finished our master bedroom + ensuite renovation and we couldn't be happier with our bedroom space! However, as we started to settle in our new room, the space was quite dark as there is not a lot of natural light filtering through the windows. We made some small changes that really elevated the space and made the room feel like a beautiful sanctuary for us to relax and have a good night sleep.
The Process
I had this idea of a bright, neutral looking space with white crisp bed linen, white walls and pendants and the stunning artwork by Adele Naidoo Designs would work perfectly with this vision of a feminine and contemporary bedroom space.
First, we took the rattan pendants off the ceiling as they were not the best reading lights. I painted the back wall white and added the white wall lights.
Then, I started sourcing some beautiful bed linen, decorative cushions like our blue checker cushion and I was so excited to style our bestselling multi-coloured diamond rug for texture and a bit of colour.
And finally, I styled the bedside tables and back wall with some of my favourite home decor items which I will list below.

The Result
The room feels like a brand new space and every time my husband walks in he says "it feels like walking into a hotel room", which is the result I was after! White and bright with a hint of blush - it's absolutely perfect. Well, the good news is you can create this look too, please check our list of suppliers below. But first some more images of our new bedroom space.
