How To Effortlessly Style Your Home Like A Pro (featuring our favourite small businesses!)

We are big fans of homes that are styled beautifully. But do you know what’s even better? When the styling is done effortlessly AND it incorporates gorgeous products from small Australian businesses - because here at Hunter & Nomad we are all about supporting the small business community! When you shop small you are supporting a dream and enabling people (just like me!) to continue doing what they love for a living.

With that in mind, we have decided to share with you our top tips to effortlessly style your home like a pro with links to our favourite small businesses that sell decor items and furniture to help you achieve that perfectly stylish, yet effortless look! Check out the post below for all the interior inspiration and make sure you click on the Instagram handles if you want to take a closer look at our featured businesses and their beautiful products.

1. Bold and beautiful bedding!

This is one of the easiest ways to spruce up a room with maximum effect! We are always mixing up the bedding in our house and really love clashing together bold colours and patterns. Here are some of our favourite stores to get your dose of bold bedding:

2. Rugs

Rugs are a great way to add texture and make a room much more cosy. Again these are easily changeable and much more temporary than a whole new carpet or floor, making them oh so effortless! Here are a couple of our favourites...

3. Removable wallpapers

Having a patterned, printed or colourful wall is an amazing way to jazz up a room and we adore the removable wallpaper available at @miltonandking - such a perfect idea if you can't (or won't) make the commitment to permanent wallpaper! Check out their dotted removable wallpaper featured in the nursery of @phoenixandtheocean alongside our Rattan Moon and Wooden Peg Rack.

 4. Wall Art

If you can't make the commitment to wallpaper, wall art is definitely the next best thing. Especially if it is rich in texture and makes a statement - like these wonderful pieces...

5. Colourful Cushions

We are firm believers that you can never have too many throw cushions! The bolder the better and we love teaming up different textures together to create that bohemian eclectic look. Here are some of our favourites...

6. Plants, plants and more plants!

There are tons of benefits to having plants in your home - it's good for you, good for the environment, they purify the air and YES they look amazing too. Our favourite way to effortlessly style a plant is by sitting it inside one of our seagrass or raffia baskets!

7. Make a statement!

Our final and favourite tip for creating an effortlessly styled home is to ensure that there is a wow factor statement in each room of the home. At the moment we love to do this by incorporating our stunning and unique rattan furniture pieces.
