We pride ourselves for the quality of our Hunter & Nomad products. However, particularly when it comes to soft furnishings, the correct handling and adhering to the cleaning instructions are super important to make sure you will love your purchase for ever!

WOOL CARPETS & OTTOMANS

• All rugs are thoroughly cleaned prior to leaving Morocco. You may find some fine grains of desert sand which will lessen after a few vacuums.
• If you wish to wash your rug in the future, using a professional rug cleaner is advised.
• Shake your rug once in a while to clear off any dust that it has collected.
• Due to the age and handmade nature of each vintage Moroccan rug, there may be some imperfections, flaws or signs of wear. They are not considered as defects, but add to the charm and story.
• Price of the rug reflects tribe, knot technique, age, rarity, size and condition.
• Photographs are true to colour and shot in natural lighting. Colours may vary from screen to screen.
• All the vintage rugs have been sourced ethically.

COTTON RUGS

• Our rugs are washable in a conventional washing machine (140x200 and 160x230cm). The 200x300cm size can be washed on a low gentle cycle at your local laundromat.
• Wash them on a low cold cycle.
• Flat dry it in the shade.
• Give it a good vacuum clean after it's completely dry to make it beautiful and soft again.
• Treat tough stains with a damp cloth. Do not use chemicals to treat stains.

• Here are some tips to keep shedding to a minimum:

  • Lightly vacuum it once a week (the more you vacuum the more the fibers will loosen up and come off).
  • Make sure NOT to have the vacuum on the setting closest to the ground.
  • Use a rug pad under the rug to absorb shock and reduce shedding.
  • Take your rug outside for a good shake once in a while to clear off any dust that it has collected.

CUSHION COVERS, SHELL CUSHIONS & OTTOMANS

We do recommend gentle spot cleaning or professional dry-cleaning only for our shell cushions. Our Vintage Moroccan Ottomans should be treated like our wool rugs. Our cotton ottomans and cushion covers can be washed like described in the cotton rug section, however, do require for the inserts to be removed.

SHIPPING COST

Hunter & Nomad is excited to offer free shipping Australia wide for orders over AU$200. This does, however, exclude shipping of bulky items.

Shipping cost for orderes below AU$200 depends on the weight and size of your order and on the shipping desitination. If you require a shipping cost estimate or would like to enquire about international shipping please contact us on hello@hunterandnomad.com.au. We endevour to get back to you with an answer within 48h during Monday to Friday.

SHIPPING TIMES

We understand how exciting it is to receive your order as soon as possible. Unless your chosen product is on pre-order, your item(s) will generally be packed and shipped within two to three business days. During busy seasonal times and sales events, it may take us a little longer to get your order to you. If you do require express shipping, please contact us on the above email address and we will inform you about timeframes and related cost.

PRE-ORDER ITEMS

Pre-ordered items can encounter excessive delivery times and are sometimes subject to delays outside of our control (e.g. supplier imposed delays, economic crisis, local unrest in the country of origin, pandemics, etc). Any delays in delivery do not entitle you to a refund. Customers are kindly requested to respect the situation as this is not intentionally incurred by Hunter & Nomad.

RETURNS POLICY

1) FULL PRICES ITEMS

We want you to love your Hunter & Nomad products as much as we do! However, if your new item(s) are not quite right we offer an online store credit or exchange for full priced items. You will have to notify us within seven days of your delivery date (in accordance with the tracking).

2) SALE ITEMS & ONE-OFF PIECES

Sale items and one-off pieces (vintage rugs and vitange ottomans) are generally excluded from return or exchange unless the item is faulty.

If an item is faulty and we advised you that the item was faulty (for example a seconds sale item) before you purchased, you are not entitled a refund, exchange or credit.

RETURN PROCESS

All returns are subject to the following conditions (‘Return Conditions’)

• An email is sent to hello@hunterandnomad.com.au indicating the reason for the return within 7 days of the delivery date (in accordance with the tracking) of your original order. 
• You have valid proof of purchase.
• Return authorisation has been approved by Hunter & Nomad via email to you.
• Your returned item is received by Hunter & Nomad within 14 days of Hunter & Nomad approving the return.
• Item/s are in original condition (not marked, unwashed with all tags and original packaging). We are not responsible for any damage incurred during transit back to our warehouse.
• The shipping cost to return item is payable by the customer.

Hunter & Nomad reserves the right to deny a request for return if your item does not meet the above conditions. All shipping costs for the return or exchange of items to Hunter & Nomad are payable by you.

We will credit your original method of payment, excluding any postage paid. The refund will be processed as soon as the items have been received by Hunter & Nomad, however, depending on which bank your account is held with please allow 14 days from the day you return the product for your account to be credited.

CONSUMER GUARANTEES

All of our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If you feel you have a faulty item, please email hello@hunterandnomad.com.au with an image of your item and we will assess the item on a case-by-case basis and respond with a resolution.

This Policy is not intended to replace, limit or exclude any rights available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.

This Policy is to be read in conjunction with our Terms + Conditions and applies to all purchases made through our website.
